I believe someone of you, like myself, don't want anodized taper area, because you are going to use M-Zeppelin LED heatsink.

I have a better soluton: use a spring to go between the bottom of heatsink and the host. I use a spring from P60 drop-in pill. I lathe the heatsink a little bit so the spring can positively sit on the heatsink. It works out great.

Pictures to be followed later tonight.

That's a great solution also!

I don't actually have any of the parts to do anything yet, but I've wanted an M6 for so long but cost has been prohibitive. This seems to be the best way for me to start my clime to get there, especially since I already have a large stock of 18650 cells. I think the removal of the anodize will just make it that much more flexible of a tool.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Varooj, got my 'MegaloMania' today (my custom name just seems to fit the excitement over these), and as you might expect, the first thing I looked at was the overall safety design. You hit a home run by making the tailcap contact plate only be able to insert into the body one way! Really superb and thoughtful design.

Then, I wanted gush about the quality of the aluminum, milling, heft, solid feel, and making a great light more pocketable (jacket). This may be your nicest "part" made to date that I can think of.

#48 & 49 please :paypal:

Has anyone figured out an alternative switch for these? Its a beautiful body, and its just sitting there looking at me saying "I need a switch already!" 😱oo:

:paypal: for #53

I was thinking:thinking::poof:... If you made an seperate extention for this body that would let you run another stack of 18650's in parallel to the first stack, 11.1V with 4400ma capacity with AW's:devil: A lot of people might be interested in that too. At least I would be.

Thanks, I cant wait to get it.

Sorry about the orange fur on the right, this guy came along to inspect:

He approves .

IT is shorter than a standard M6 body and feels chunkier in the hand. The anodizing is great, and closely matches the SF finish. I pulled an AW 3 level out of a z41 to try it - I am pleased. Now to wait for nightfall, curse this early DST...
