Megaray 175 Ultimate Beamshot pic

Hi,

I got the rare chance to play with a Megaray 175 again tonight.

This is serious fun /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif

This pic makes for a great desktop wallpaper so I thought I would share it with you all.

We are going to do a Daylight shot to compare it with in the next week or so.

It looks even better printed out on a Photo quality inkjet.

Nice!!! What is the distance to the antenna? Is the 175 similar to the regular Megaray?

What do you do for a living to get to play with such cool toys, I mean lighting instruments?

Alex,

Megaray 175 is the 175 Watt version of the Megaray the standard one is "only" 125 Watts.

We think the distance is around 1/2 mile.
We drove round for an hour looking for suitable targets /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif The tower is about 100ft high.

It should become clear when we produce the daylight shot.

We lit a Water Tower from a clocked 1/2 of a mile even with the Megaray set to wide angle beam. We could not get suitable pics as there were too many trees in the way.

I am an Electrical Engineer by trade, it just happens that my closest friend happens to be the UK agent. He has the light as it is going on a demo later in the week.

Just had my friend ring me with the results of todays demo.

The Megaray can be seen clearly from 10 Miles away in DAYLIGHT with the naked eye. They are now going to try it from 20 Miles away.

His exact comment was that it looks like a mini Sun on top of the hill.

Sorry I don't have any pics of yesterdays test.

But if we get chance before the Megaray has to be returned we may try to take some Daylight shots. Along with some Flood mode nightime shots.
