Melbourne CPF meet

Sorry, I won't be able to make it. I have carer's duties that make it a bit awkward to get out of the house for the time being.

Next time.
Really sorry you couldn't make it Bruce it was a great night.

Thanks Stewart for the warm hospitality!

It was a great meet, except for the fact that those darn GIANT MOZZIES kept attacking me...:sick2:
I thought those GIANT MOZZIES attacking Gav were hilarious, you shouldn't get around with a giant search light attracting all the bugs from miles around. It's a long time since I've seen such fancy foot work.
Norm
P.S. Gav your SS ultrafire is fixed, PM your address and I'll send it along with the globes.
Stewart thanks for a fantastic night. The fresh blackberries and ice cream were yummy

Really enjoyable meet with some quality dark.

Thanks to Stewart for a wonderful night and such warm hospitality.

I had a great time!

Great Meet Stewart :)
Great Ice Cream and Berries too!

Gav, Insects are attracted to light and good quality dark,
from the CPF group that meets the most.

I could not believe the size of Norm's homemade HID light! I reckon its about 15kg! It was using a H4 35w automotive HID bulb and ballast, running off Norm's homemade :caution:mini nuclear reactor:caution: The reflector was the size of a family sized pizza pan and its output made the AmondoTech N30 HID look so ordinary.

Its a shame we forgot to take any pics of the beamshots when we were out in the deserted country road... or maybe we forgot to take pics because WE WERE BEING EATEN ALIVE BY GIANT MOZZIES!!!:eek::eek:

Thanks for the comments guys-It was a pleasure.
Was a great meet and Norm's torch was a monster.
Not really an EDC.

Yes indeed, it would've been nice to show Norm's HID unit stomping the little N30s for those of us not able to attend

BTW next time don't forget the aeroguard! :poke:

Grox - looks like you had a great CPF party - and you got an SF M6 to play with! I wish someone had brought one to ours in the UK. Also nice to see an aspherical Mag. Snap!

Someday all mags will be like this.

Glad it was good. Best wishes from the cold and rainy UK! (Even in Summer)

Be lucky...

My roof leaks...:shakehead

Hi Nyctophiliac,

Sorry to hear of your roof :( Sounds like you need it from what I hear of your weather.

I really enjoyed myself in London and especially at the UK meet (despite the rain).

Are any more UK CPF meets planned? Surely someone must have an M6 in the UK!

We had the Aeroguard but forgot to use it...:ironic:

Its been exactly one week, but I'm already itching for a catch-up meet: a night walk at Grants Picnic Grounds, Kallista hidden in the Dandenongs. Nature lovers will love how the forest comes alive when its dark.

Hi Stewart,
first of all i realised I didn't message you to say thank you for you and your families hospitality. I had a fantastic time meeting everybody for the first time and i has a absolute blast.

i have been hunting down a tupperware icing sugar which i admired in your kitchen. :)

i would like to also thank the CPF community for making me feel so welcome.

Stewart, I hope all is safe with you and the family. i have been monitoring your area and am glad that you have mainly only had smoke (to my observations) which to me is scary enough.

If you need any help clearing or anything else for that matter, i will Pm my mobile so you can call me at any hour.

take care and send my thoughts to you and your family.
