Messin\' around with MR16s...
So... I was donking around with MR16s since I have several ways of hitting them with anywhere from 9 to 15AA.
When I initially tested a 20W 12degree Sylvania MR16 with 12AA, I found it to be decently white with a nice spot and lots of spill.
But I went looking for more!
I got up to 15AA against it. It was finally QUITE bright, and decent of beam. But I found it took a 5D light (in this case a Brinkmann 5-3-2) and some cussing to try. And once you get above 4D, the light is getting too big anyway!
I may play some more with MR16s once my Modamag 8AA-2D adapter comes and I can try 14AA in a 4D light.
But when we can get SO much out of 2D and 3D M*gs, I'm not sure what the point is!!!
