but does anyone know or is a metal worker in the Greater Vancouver area that can do work on alum and/or titanium???

basically.. i want to drill out a slot for a trit vial on certain light parts... ie... ex10 ti bezel... and a ex10 piston...

any help or info would be great!

Thanks

I can recommend Luke Balogh-Luke's Custom Machine and Design-He is just over the Second Narrows bridge in N.Vancouver. Luke has done a number of machining jobs for me that I have been very pleased with.
Luke is in the phone book!

hey dee...

thanks for the info!!!

just wondering... what kind of work did you have him do?? and is his pricing reseanable???

i mean... i can get a slotted piston from 4sevens for like $11usd if i send in my original one.... so i don't know if that's too worth it to get someone to do...

but stuff like drilling a Ti bezel... that will have to be done by a specialist... :)

Thanks!

Please remove his phone number from this public forum. He won't want his number getting out to the unwashed masses. You can send his phone number through private messages or e-mail.

He is a commercial operation with listings in the phone books.....

Krazy89--I had him do automotive work-making seal housings etc-he specialises in superchargers.

hey dee...

oh... i wonder if he does the things that i wanted??? he seems to be specialized in automotive things....

i guess the only way to know is to give him a call... hehe...

i'll definitely do that...

if anyone else has a good contact... please don't be shy.... chime in and let me know...

And now, in addition to real business calls, he'll get calls from bots & spammers because you listed his phone # on a public forum:poof:

A/ I am not a poof
2/ What proof do you have that phone numbers can be trawled from forums?:poke:

What proof do you have that he doesn't? It is common courtesy to not post peoples phone numbers. It is I'll advised to post your own. There is no guarantee you will recieve spam calls or anything but why take the risk. I don't think he would appreciate useless calls if they could be avoided at all.

It is asked out of simple courtesy to the 3rd party that you remove his number from a PUBLIC forum.

Hey guys, let's keep this civilized.

Hey dee, if u don't mind, please edit ur post and remove his number. I thank u very much for the info and I will be contacting him for some quotes. I'm sure luke will be appreciative for u giving him business!

65535, thanks for being considerate!

Now, if anyone else has good contacts for this type of work, that would be great!

Just so people don't get un-necessarily paranoid....

If you have a business, you already gets the random calls as well as the targeted ones. Compilations of business numbers are widely sold. They are published by cities, counties and states as part of the business license process.

Grabbing phone numbers from web sites is only a problem if someone is targeting you directly AND you've tried to keep your number off the grid.

But please feel free to worry about it if you wish.

Back on topic....
It's great that someone can ask such a narrow question and get a valid response so fast. :)

Yeah, I own a small business and I get probably 80% junk calls. You get used to it, and we have CID, so I know what to ignore. I wouldn't really have a problem with my number posted on a forum, sounds like free advertising to me! (Also, it's probably no easier to get the number from this forum than the site it was pulled from :))

--edit--

Wait... Metalworker?... Topic? What???
