Micro Mark lathe in Canada?

Look around for surplus tooling dealers. Tooling that is out of spec for use on automated production machines is often available. Most of it has been sharpened but has been rejected on inspection. Take your calipers and a good magnifying lens. Most of the time these surplus dealers only exist in areas with reasonable amounts of industrial production to support them. I have been to Victoria (tourist) a few times but I don't recall seeing how much industry was in the area.

The biggest industry is the one you came to support.. hah.

I already ordered some stuff from littlemachineshop.com.. should be here soon hopefully.

Glad I could help, I had a great time! Vancouver Island is beautiful. We enjoyed Butchart gardens also.

I hope you have fun with the tooling. If you get down to Seattle look up some surplus dealers. There should be LOTS of surplus down there. I don't know what kind of duty you will have to pay tho. Make sure it is noted as "scrap parts" etc on the sales ticket.

Great little lathe for the money.I have been using one for a year now and am very impressed for what it is.If you subscribe to the practical machinest forum they have a detailed and very effective and easy fix on how to convert the slide adjustments on the main table to be done from the top of the machine(well worth it!!!!!!!).It really helps!!!:thumbsup:If you need tooling drop me a PM and I can send you some links that have good stuff that won't kill your pockets.
