Microfire K3500R any improvement over the first released version?

I don't think it's been necessarily "improved" but they did slightly redesign the body and got rid of the focus mechanism, possibly to save manufacturing costs.

well, MF also changed the recharge system for K3500R. There is a recharging jack in the rear of battery pack. With the updated charger, you can recharge the light directly without charge stand. Meanwhile, you don't need revolve down the battery pack any longer.

This is my study from their website : www. microfire.cn

Hope it is helpful for you!

That's a much improved charging arrangement imo. Having to unscrew the head to charge the light was silly, as well as the goofy charger stand. The stand can tip over very easily and the charging jack fits loosely. I had to zip-tie the power cord on mine in order to keep it from pulling out of the stand due to minute amounts of tension.

Now, if MF would only use warmer 4300K bulbs. It would be a nearly perfect light.

Agreed. Would u happen to know if the new light can be charged with the head detached or does that have to be removed as well for recharging? Thanx..

The light now is able to recharge without removing the head via a charging jack at the rear of the light. The new member mentions this in post 3. :)
