That's good to know. Good outfit. I've gotten loading / shooting supplies from them for decades, but flashlights never even occurred to me. I'll have to check them out! Is that a significantly better price than average street price (I'm not familiar with prices on that light)? I'm curious...

Yes. Next lowest price I could find was $220 plus tax. The retail is $280. Super crazy candela on those lights.
Excellent. I've always liked dealing w/ Midway in the past, and this sounds like another reason. Makes me wonder what all the 'price-gouging' is all about with some other distributors. Maybe it's just as simple as old fashioned greed. That was a very good find, and I imagine others who might have been 'on the fence' about it may get off the fence! At a sane price like that, even I would have to consider it (which I did not previously). Thanks for posting that (I think;-)

Price appears to be $251.00 now. I hope it wasn't a price mistake and they ship out the purchased lights.
To quote the esteemed sween today:
I won't suspect Midway of any misdoings, as mistakes happen, and it could have been a legit overstock-induced 'flash sale'. That happens. I too hope they ship all as ordered. Their reputation is far too good for far to long for me to suspect otherwise of them.

Could be, but I'd tend to think more like breaking even (given my uneducated guess as to the intrinsic value of the light). Either way, it doesn't seem like some 'doorbuster' deal to attract customers(?), but at some point, anything that's taking up shelf space and gets over-stocked and is not selling as expected must go. Barring an error in the listing, that's what I would suspect might be behind the 'fire sale' price, if legit.
I think if they'd been selling like hotcakes, there would be little incentive to slash the price. I don't think business works like that(?). Note that I am definitely not a businessman, and am purely speculating. I'm just a potential customer who might buy one at that price, but probably never at the 'standard' asking prices I see. I most definitely don't 'need' that light, so I'm not disappointed if it's not for sale at a price I consider reasonable, or which might actually fit my level of budget. Funding is a little short for me these days!
I'm just happy they finally started actually shipping, and are available for those who need and can afford them. I'm not the 'sour grapes' type and don't knock the light at all. I'm happy for those people.

It's an awesome light. I got the 2 first also, thinking that would be enough. Liked it so much I got the 1 and like it just as much, glad I got it.
That's an absolute bargain, hope you get it soon.

Surefire are quite strict with the price their lights are sold at.
If the AD doesn't abide by their rules then can be dropped by surefire real quick, probably not worth it.
Also, how in the world isn't that price doorbusting???

Yeah I'd say that's pretty door busting.
That's knock the house down, only the door is standing! Still i normally 99% of the time buy lights in the $40-$80 range. A few over $100 but very rare these days.

I don't blame you, don't think that SF is well sutied for edc honestly. Too tight of a beam and the low is too low for my liking. Modlite is a much better option for that type of light for edc carry.
...and your theory regarding the likely reason behind the $137 price quoted in the OP is....?

They'll honor the price they sold it at.
When items have sat too long in inventory, Midway will BLOW THEM OUT just to get them off the shelves. Once inventory is back to a reasonable level, the price will go back up. I've gotten some insane deals from them due to that. They do the same with discontinued/clearance items.
It's always worth a few minutes to browse through their clearance sections for just that reason.
Also, if you make an account, the birthday pricing can net some crazy deals, though mostly on Midway branded things.

Yes i am a big believer in MidwayUSA. Went on a black powder revolver binge over the last year. The prices were very very good and got all the holsters there too. Looking forward to shooting a few.
