I made one mistake of the shippment at 27/09, 1x warm tint did not ship properly and it is still in my hand.
If you get it wrong tint, please let me know, I will fix it.
Thanks.

5x cool tint kits are available.

Re: Mini-Maglite AA Drop-in kit - 2nd Run

Thanks

received and installed! Nice and brighter then the terralux!
Seems to be just as bright based off of a little visual bouncing it off the ceiling in a small enclosed room as a preon 2. Now I have 2 mini maglites that are nice and useful!
The warm tint doesn't seem that warm though...of course the only flashlight I have that is also warm is REALLY warm with the Quark AA I think I would consider this more neutral, though it doesn't matter to me I just wanted to have some variety and that is what this gives me.

Now what am I going to do with all the spare mini maglite bulbs ROFL.

Don't think that plastic spacer will ever come out though hehe it is tight like others said.

The plastic ring comes out easily. I use a bamboo skewer to start pushing it down from the front, and then turn it sideways in the tube, and shove it right out.

Actually now that I think of it, since it is only a spacer heck it could even be cut so that it is spreadable/adjustable so it could fit even in something of a different size. Hmm would a spacer like that X times the thickness + a metal top spacer/spin lock be able to be user in a much larger size flashlight to hold it all in place? heh...ok getting carried away

Re: Mini-Maglite AA Drop-in kit - 2nd Run

Is this for the original MiniMag or the MiniMag LED? Also how does this compare to the MiniMag LED? Is it brighter, does it run longer or both?

Can I use this in something other than a MiniMag, like a regular 2D Ravoyac flashlight?

Thank you.

Re: Mini-Maglite AA Drop-in kit - 2nd Run

wantsusa, you are correct. The neutral tint is closed to real world.

Thanks donn_, I did use the same way you told.

nbjly, will PM you when it starts again.

wantsusa & eternity,
This kit is specially designed for original (Incan.) MiniMag.
Overall output is slighty higher than MiniMag LED. Runtime will be slighty shorter too.
But the size of module does not fit most of bulb holder.
:thanks:

Hi Charles,

I just received my package. Very nice my friend! :twothumbs
Can you confirm it there is a boost driver inside? Just want to be sure it can't be run off 1 li-ion (3.7V) cell. :)

Thanks again!

Re: Mini-Maglite AA Drop-in kit - 2nd Run

Hi Freddy,

It does has boost driver inside, so it can be driven by 1-2AA (1.2-3V) only.
Not 1x li-ion (3.7V) cell. :poof:
:thanks:

Download,
Do you know if a dropin exists that fits in a minimag and has the opposite of a boost driver? So a minimag compatible dropin that takes 4 - 6 volts input from the battery?
