Received mine yesterday from BrightGuy (...as always, EXCELLENT service!). Right from the time I took this light out of the package, fed it and turned it on...I liked it a LOT! The switch feels very solid...no click when it's turned on, but drops in the on position very nicely (i.e. you can feel it drop into the on groove...). The overall feel of this light is very solid. When you shake it, nothing rattles or makes any unusual "loose" sounds. The rubber bezel gives it the look and feel of added durability...a nice touch. As far as lights to compare it to, I only have 2 other 3 LED lights that are white...the PT Attitide, and a LEDtronics 3V 3LED PR bulb that I'm overdriving by using 1 AA and 2 N cells. The Attitude and the LEDtronics are just about identical in output, and each of these two lights have three distinct bluish hotspots when directed at a white surface. The Clipmate is noticeably brighter than the Attitude and LEDtronics...not a lot, but easily noticeable. Also, even though the Clipmate has three LED's, there is only 1 bluish hotspot when directed at a white surface...a very nice, even output of light. The fact that there is only one hotspot is a big plus to me. I've always found multiple hotspots to be annoying. The biggest plus of the Clipmate to me is that there is no backwash of light like on the Attitude. I've always found the backwash put out by the Attitude to be very distracting...in fact, I seldomly use the Attitude because of it. The Clipmate fits easily in a front pocktet, where I prefer to carry my lights. The Attitude can fit in a front pocket also, but can become a little uncomfortable if you have to bend or squat down. Also, because of the clip and headstrap that are included with the Clipmate, to me it is simply a more versatile light. For $14.95 I think the Clipmate is a VERY good value, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good, long lasting utility light. It gets a big

...BTW, I'm not trying to bash the Attitude. I'm a big PT fan, and have many of their lights. The Clipmate just suits my "likes" much better than the Attitude...

Great info,PJD.Just the review I've been wanting to see and timely, too, since I've been window shopping lately.I have an Attitude, too, and if the Clipmate outshines it then I'm sold.

I'm very happy with mine. I espically like the head band for it. Sometimes you need both hands free. Of course you can clip it to your hat too. TX

I actually wore mine out! Sure wish that they were as durable as an Arc. Now if I could only find a swivel clip thing for my Ultra Infinity-whew!

Why do you have 6 Clipmates?

I thought I was excessive when I had 3 Princeton Tec Attitude's velcroed to my retractable dog leash, but 6.

Do tell, where do you use them all!

I bought 5 more after I bought one from a CPF member, I clip them on the sunvisors of our fleet vehicles. Much better than any map light. Now I just have to get rid of 5 headstraps and lanyards.
