The SMJLED drop-in package from Lighthound works like a charm, literally. In about five minutes an old Minimag will turn into Prince Charming. They didn't have any instructions so I just took an old one apart and cleaned it up and put the new parts in. Everything else is the same. It is polarity sensitive, so just plug in the new bulb. If it does'nt fire, do a 180 and it will.

I did two on the fly tonite and you would think these guys had brand new flashlights. Free beers taste even better. Thanks again for the great information.

Which one did you get? the $6 one thats on sale or the ~$11 one?

How is the color tint compared to your gerber infinity ultra?.. is it as blue as the Gerber?

The one that's on sale. The only thing you replace is the bulb and reflector. Everything else stays where it is. Simple and eye-popping.
