hi all,
some days ago I was talking with my friends about our light and one of them ask me how to mod his 2AA minimag for the best output and I responded with this faces: ....
so I was asking to you if you can suggest somethig to help me in this situation...probably I'm too interested in modding big flshlight like: 3D or 6D mags and I have never thought how to mod a small 2AA minimag:shakehead...

I really haven't any good ideas..:ohgeez:

The shoppe does not have any complete sandwiches in stock, no plans to make any more ( as of 2 weeks ago )

Check out TerraLUX drop in modules.

sandwiches: brightest (but thermally not good)
Terralux: best price/output ratio
power: 2 pc. 14500, ceramic socket and SL Stinger (?) bulb

Thermally, the sammies are far better than the TL drop-ins. Nite-Ize just released some LuxI drop-ins very similar to the early TLE-5's and, as with their other products, they're cheap and work OK.

Yeah the aurora hotware is bright and all, but runtime is crap. If you want decent runtime and good brightness (compared to the hotwire) look at terralux's TLE-5EX.

thanks for your help, I will sugest this mod to my friend...:)

Lambda's Minipro is the best Minimag LED mod available if Sandwich Shoppe has indeed stopped making sandwiches. I didn't have a good enough soldering iron (nor that good of skills), so I had a friend slap it together for me. The Lambda Minipro mated with an SSCP4 makes for the best standard MiniMag mod that you can do right now. Unlike the "drop in" MM mods, the Minipro and Sandwich mods don't prevent the head from screwing all the way down. I find that the drop in mods leaves the head a little wobbly. I've got an SSCP4'ed Minipro along with a 17mm reflector, glass lens and a tail cap switch. The head is firmly screwed down and works well with the tail cap switch.

Here's where you can get a Minipro kit:
