There is a major trade show in the USA right now. Try SureFire again in a week.

The bezel needs to be shipped to Surefire for service. The turnaround time on mine was 4-5 weeks (during holiday season). You add a couple of weeks to that for international shipping and you are looking at a good seven weeks without the M6

.

You need to gird up and call surefire on the phone and see if they can expedite the service of your light or if there is an alternative for servicing it in Sweden.

Sympathies indeed.

Cheers.

Yes, my new(!)MN20 exploded 3 minutes ago. It ruined my KT4's reflector totaly, glass blown into the neoprene foam, lens is milky. ARGH!!
What happens now?! I have a new M6 that I cant use. Damn it!!! And I live in Sweden...

Hmm...I dont feel that comfortable speaking technical terms in a
different language. I fear that I'd just make a fool out of myself. As you may know there's a whole new deal to speak a foreign language rather then understanding it and write in it.

Hi, my new bulb in my SF M6 reflector just exploded ruining the reflector. I can't bear the thought of having no light to use for weeks if I send in the KT4 reflector for warranty, is there any way to speed it up? Blah blah, address blah blah, and so on and so forth...

Okay, it wasn't too helpful... well.. at least you have a rough idea... maybe you could tell us your difficulty?

my spoken English is quite bad...
So, everytime I have trouble with my Surefire, I just send them an e-mail and they will take of of it

. Now, I'm having problem with my E1e's clip and o-ring.

They will reply you soon, I think.
And I'm waiting, too

Mr HG: you're not the only one who claims that surefire cs doesn't answer emails. so far i've had luck with them, and i usually get a reply within a few days. if you want, i can send them an email on your behalf and see what they have to say. if you want me to help you, just leave a reply here or send me a PM

What I was going to suggest--and I see it's been suggested--is that someone from the US with a M6 calls and explains the situation. Might help if they had your eMail address and Sweedish mailing address.

SF might send a bezel along without you having to ship to them etc. etc. but you never know.

I love Sweeden--my favorite cars come from there

same here....i've gotten one P60, two replacement bezels and some O-rings from them already. the bezels and P60 was because i had faulty ones though. i wonder if they keep track of email addresses, and if i've been blacklisted as a scammer or something..

Sent this to Surefire CS...

Thank you Mr. xxxxxxxx,

Hmm...I dont feel that comfortable speaking technical terms in a
different language. I fear that I'd just make a fool out of myself. As you may know there's a whole other deal to speak a foreign language rather then understanding it and to write in it. I have basicly no experience at all talking English with an American individual, I guess I'm not used to it yet.

Are you sure you cant supply an RMA number by E-mail?

But It's to way much trouble for me to send my M6 all the way to California from Sweden. I just wanted your opinion on what could be wrong. Anyway I forwarded this E-mail to [email protected] with a MUCH more serious problem that occured yesterday... When I was out in the woods right behind my house searching for my dog who had run away I grabbed the M6 with the MN20 LA. It had been constant on for about 5, 6 maybe 7 minutes and then it got insanely bright for a nano sec and immidiatley I heard a loud pop. The MN20 had exploded. Ofcourse the reflector had been destoyed and the lens was smokey and the neoprene was full of debris.
When I'd got a hold on my dog I went inside and dismanteld the M6 at once... All that was left of the MN20 was the filament. the glass had been shattered to pieces.

I then consulted the guys over at the Candlepowerforums and they said, as I' thought tehy'd do, that I'd have to send in the damaged KT4 bezel for service. Since this happend I dont care about the tailcap... thats nonsense now

I willing to ship the damaged KT4 Bezel and the broken MN20 to you.
I also want to apologize for not having sent the bad FM16 filter that Surefire CS have replaced, I will inclued that in the package too.

I would also like say how much I appreciate Surefire's Worldwide superb customer service.
Surefire products/accessories/development are at the moment my biggest hobby. And I'm pretty sure I'm just about alone with such a hobby here in Sweden. I bought my first Surefire almost 4 years ago. It was an 8X. I still have it on my shelf and its still in mint condition. I'm just trying to find a old 3 inch Turbohead reflector for it. hehehe

This is the letter I forwarded. I apologize for the harsh language, I was very pissed of at the moment.
