There was a guy working on a 45W HID in a Mag body, but he ran out of funding. I currently own a 35W HID similar to the one offered on Deal Extreme http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10558. They also sell these on Ebay. I was wondering if anyone has thought about replacing the existing 35W Ballast/Bulb, with a 50W Ballast/Bulb? The O.D. of the barrel is 50mm?

I have one of those and I have thought about a 50W mod, but I haven't investigated whether I can find a 50W ballast that I can put in the ballast housing of the light. The light comes apart rather easily and the battery housing and the ballast housing come apart easily as well. I will post here if I make any headway on the project.
On the one I have, the head wobbles siginificantly unless it is adjusted all the way up or all the way down. Does your light do that?

I have one also and suspect it's only a 28W light do to ceiling bounce lightmeter readings compared with my 35W Beast. The head turns smoothely without any wobble on mine. I did a short review of it in Reviews.
