Hi there again,

Ever since replacing my EDC with an Arc LSH-P, my Surefire E2-GM Executive has been sitting on the shelf for about a month now. And the sad thing is....i don't even miss it. The Arc LSH-P is that good.

Anyway, my E2 has been through hell. If you've seen the pictures, you know what i mean. It still works perfectly, but i can no longer afford its battery diet. I was planning on getting either a new E2e-HA or an A2 when i get a new job...but i have to put new light purchases on hold for now.

ANyway, i am request for any modder out there to modify my E2 to use a 5W luxeon. I have no idea how much it will cost or how long it will take or how difficult the mod is. If any of you want to do this for me, please let me know how much you want to charge.

I would really like it to be a regulated white 5W Luxeon, but if it's not possible, i'd still like a direct drive 5W too.

Thanks!

Hey there

You should PM MrBulk! I am sure he can do something or offer suggestions that will juice up that E2 of yours.

you mean something like this , the problem with this mod is that the light will get very hot due to its small mass. I think a better light to use would be a Brinkmann LX or the Pelican M6. I'm working on my own LX mod now using a bb700 and heatsinking with copper.

See http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB14&Number=239915&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 in the fifth picture down, second light from left. It's a SureFire E2e w/E2C adapter, SF Turbohead, BB750 (so it's regulated), with mods done by McGizmo. The whole light was $175 complete, don't know what he'd charge to do the bits so you could screw them onto your E2. But directdrive would not be as bright, as 6V would be underdriving it thus a little dim, although still eminently usable at around 4000 lux...
