900 lumens is the top of the bin, which means there might be some LEDs that go there, but not many and perhaps not any. It is just the end of the range that they are sorted into.
If you want to get the highest output use a coated ultra clear lens, massive heatsink, and drive the LED to 2.8 amps or even a bit higher. Use a good quality reflector and the loss in the reflector and lens will be quite low.
In any case it is unlikely you can see the difference between 800 and 900. If you want more, use two or three P7s. A Triple P7 light is quite impressive.
With 6D you need a good driver, or two P7's in series to direct drive them.
Yea you say a big heatsink but would anyone happen to know of one that would fit inside the 6-D Maglite? thnx again im still Pretty new to all this modding
