Im sure the quad XPG will be awesome , but please finish up the triple xpe commitments before getting too involved with new projects. 😗
So the one I just bought from would fit this new quad?
Initial supply will most likely take the form of complete heads, with a variety of matching body options.
Any thrower drop-ins in the works?
Any plans on producing D36 drop ins since FM have release another type of this tank light. BTW how much difference of lumens output will be between the triple and the quad. i guess the triple will be run on 2.8A but what about the quad, will each emitter getting around 900mA as well? And also will you be still producing both triple and quad since triple is user replaceble drop ins but the quad is not.
To answer these and a few other questions:
No, the Quad will not fit into the Z44 bezel, or regular P60 drop-in, or triple heat sink.
This is a new assembly, currently based on the M2 bezel.
As the photo shows, we are using the Khatod 25.4mm quad optic.
Where's the elusive XP-G list/thread?
I'm going to have to figure out how to make a battery pack for that sucker!
That is good news in the sense that I will be happy with my future triple XP-G knowing it is still going to be the best D26 drop-in at the time I will receive it. 😉 😀No, the Quad will not fit into the Z44 bezel, or regular P60 drop-in, or triple heat sink.
That is the interesting part, the driver - is there a better one now that could be used for future triples too (powering them at 3-3.6A :devil🙂 or will the quad be direct-drive relying on the internal resistance of the cells and the resulting voltage sag alone? :thinking:This setup will operate in excess of 4 amps. IMR cells, 18500 and larger, will be needed for full performance.

Quads look amazing! Will they be single cell only, or could they be driven with 2 AW 18650 2600s?
 Want to tell them about the one even wilder than the quad?

nfetterly,
Orders shipped!
:thanks:
