At the programming step for all Wednesday lights, should be packaging soon.

Just so everyone knows...

Several people were caught with imperfect lights after our last launch and we were unable to fulfill our commitment to them over the winter. Each received a free upgrade to the new lights and no new lights were put up for sale until they were made whole. Most of them shipped earlier this week and are the people reporting early arrivals.

That's good news, me too!
It's funny, just now as I was reading your post
Dan, my mail man pulled up, I ran outside and
about tackled him but he didn't have it.
So that's ok maybe Monday

Thanks so much for explaining why some folks got their Wasps so early.

Just wondering if the light in post #599 is able to easily/reliably change modes with the twisty Zero Res switch. nfetterly?

Hehe, thanks guys!

Stretch is a special mode, selectable on the programming page. When off, the light runs in full regulation until the battery is exhausted (2.8v). With stretch turned on, the light runs in full regulation until 3.2v. At 3.2v, it starts to dim in slow 1/33 steps until the battery is exhausted (2.8). These are the same gradual steps used in our thermal regulation system. In practice, you:

  1. give up a few minutes of runtime at full power
  2. gain a bunch of minutes safety power, so you're not left in the dark
  3. have the chance to recharge the battery sooner, so it wears less

In practice, its like having a hybrid regulated + direct drive light, with just the right amount of controlled DD dim just when you need it at the end.

Thats a Brita Bottle, kept in the fridge for 100 degree days   :D

100 degree days...beautiful weather. Maybe you should have me test all your prototypes here in 120+ you know, just to be sure.

Man, the low is 90+ this time of year! A/C spins for weeks without stopping. But, but if it does stop spinning you are in huge trouble, we either go to our LA place or a nice hotel.
