More LED\'s ?

Is it possible to add LED's into a Dorcy 1AA? I was thinking of drilling three more holes into the silver "reflector" and adding three LED's. Would the additional three LED's increase the brightness much? I don't want to use a Luxeon because they're too bright and too expensive. Thanks for all your help!

EDIT: What tools did you guys use to get that retaining ring out?

Yes you can add more, it will be brighter, pound the crap out of it..... Well to get the reflector out anyway.
