Specify what you mean with "dark red". >700nm is usually infrared. Do you actually want visible light? Or do you want to use it with nightvision systems/infrared cameras?

At 750nm, the visiual brighness is nearly 6 orders of magnitude bigger than in the green, and a factor 100 lower than the usual HeNe red.
That why nobody really makes leds in the energy range.
If people want infrared, they usually just jump to GaAs derivates at > 800nm, which is totally invisible, but really easy and efficient in manifacturing and use.
