I've got a 9mm auto that lacks rails and no apparent way to mount a light. Anyone know of a generic 'add on' light holder?
Thanks--

depending on the pistol, surefire makes adaptors. I am thinking about getting a couple for our 1911's (his and hers). Check their website they probably have one for your gun.

Thanks Sorta-
...and to add a bit of clarity, it's a 9mm Interarms Firestar inherited from my father. I understand Interarms is no longer in business. Looking at the Surefire site it's difficult to determine which, if any of the adaptors might work.

It's not a big deal, just thought if there was a 'generic' mount out there, I'd add some light to the fire (so to speak).

Some weapons light manufacturers have a system to attach (clamp) the light to the trigger guard. This might be an option for you. A gunsmith or someone skilled could drill, tap and mount a light or an accessory rail for the light as well.

I got this TacStar side clip on my 1st gen Glock with no rails
