I'm curious about your opinions on MR16 driving lights. I'm thinking it may be nice to try different bulbs from spot to super spot, as well as 50W or 35W, to see what works best for me as well as the motorcycle. It has a 21 amp charging system and I'm running 5K rpm out of 9K all the time (that's the smooth-sweet-spot rpm and yes I'll be upgrading wiring/relay system).

Any drawbacks other than the high costs of multiple pairs of bulbs?

Are they even legal since there is no DOT reflector?

These are the lamps I'm thinking of, since they MUST have a single post style mount, small size, and sleek look....plus they're cheap; another high priority.

I just have a feeling if I go for these cheap ones, by the time I finish messing around with different bulbs and accidentally get long-life dim bulbs or wrong beam spread etc Ill have spent as much as a nicer set of real lights.

Oh yeah, most importantly, they have to have a round beam, not a flat fog beam. As soon as the motorcycle leans over a flat beam will be pointing right into the ground and the trees.
