Thought I was fairly broad in my music tastes, going to different shows, keeping an open mind.
Then I met this dude in Colorado, he lived music....this cat worked to buy music & go to concerts, that's it.
I can remember him about him going on & on about a band called Tool

Not heavy metal, just really heavy

read some of the comments ^^

If he ever gets bored with music, the lead singer would have a great career in Mad Max, Zombie or about any post-apocalypse films.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is a magical place.
Only been there once for Primus around '94 ~ really hard to describe the natural energy there .. just amazing

U2 forty years ago at Red Rocks

Red Rocks Amphitheater couldn't be built now. If it wasn't there the site would be part of a national park the feds would hardly allow anyone to walk on, and walking out to it would be the only way anyone would get to see it.

I had heard of these guys but had not ever heard them when I saw this concert video
They were an anomoly at the time, a band nobody had ever heard of that sold out every show they played. A dj at my favorite radio station kept going on about a U2 show he'd attended. I found a VHS copy at a record store and woah, woah, woah, these guys are going to be huge someday. I used to say "someday the Rolling Stones will open for these kids".

Soon after I had the War album and the Red Rocks album. I'd crank them up in my car everywhere I went. That and the Stop Making Sense show. Good times.

While walking around a record store a few years ago, well more than a few, but anyway they were playing this Badly Drawn Boy album (hour of the Bewilderbeast). After about 30 minutes it was in the cart.

Another rather unique band that grows on ya

How 'bout some uber glue?

👆basically I woke up at 3am, put in some ear buds and these songs played along with 'blood buzz ohio' by the national, 'soul city' by scots, 'hit the coast' by future islands, 'know your onions' by the shins, 'satellite' by echo & the bunneymen, 'french press' by rolling blacckouts cf, 'no cars go' by archade fire and a bunch of others.....
