MX212/U Modify or no?

I have an MX212 that I'm thinking about modifying/customizing, specifically for night time hunting applications, including a paintjob. Before I do, though, I wanted to see if the 212 had any significant collector's value over the 991. I'm only even considering the 212 as I wound up with two of them in my collecting.

About the only right angle light to consider a valuable collectable is the TL-122 or TL-122A. The TL-122 without the A is more rare than an honest politician. The ones with the A are pretty scare too.
