I just got my light today. A long wait..but it was worth it! This is a solid and powerful light! I had to go to the basement ( black out windows). The spot and spill are stunning in power and even appearance. THe battery tube is 19.5mm- so any 18650 fits easily. There is a spring at the plus end- so a flat nose battery works fine. THe tail threads are greased. and the cap works smoothly. THe light is heavy compared to many others its size- fine for me. Fit and finish are very good. To date, probably the best value for dollar spent of any light I have.
I measured 1.15 amps with a battery that read 4.10 volts. I also tried a 17650 that read 4.15 volts and got 900ma. I was suprised that the 17650 gave that big a difference- but the light was still very good. I don't intend to do runtimes.
I don't have anything else to compare it too! I do have an MTE seoul powered light from DX, but I modified it to run on only 17650's- and it only draws about 560 ma...so it's not as powerful.
I noticed DX is out of stock of this light...not suprising....I might buy some more before he figures out the light could easily sell for $50.00.
