pretty nice, i have not had any UV leds besides this so this is my first and i only in the past have been familiar with blacklights at parties and stuff , tried it out checking my money and cards and my license all is good , my drivers license lights up but my cdl doesnt but i also dont see a hologram in my cdl so that could be a factor, my checks show all the fibers as well as carpet stuff ....i went into the bathroom but i was suprised not to see much i was expecting a bacteria disaster, i  even shut the lights in the bathroom and went to pee and see if my urine lit up as i went  ..it didnt, i guess im not radioactive wheeewww ....i prolly need 380nm to see that

as i researched i saw that cree is no longer on the terralux uv module as its been updated...the batteryjunction TLE5uv looks like this , seoul

I've never seen a Seoul UV LED before...

I have a Cree UV drop-in that I made.
It does a great job of lighting up money,License, Money orders, bathroom disasters and well.......it even showed some "pecker tracks":sick2:

I'll post some beamshots of my pee stream lighting up next time I have to go. You have to take some vitamin B to get the pee to light up:eek:oo:

output is like 3-5 lumens and purple obviously

i tried taking beamshots but it wouldnt take, the hotspot washed out and the spill was to dim for my webcam to pick up

looks like cree X-lamp is best 395nm

I don't believe non visible light can be rated in "lumens" it can only be rated in watts of energy.

Items that fluoresce under UV light don't glow purple, they will glow white or blue or whatever color they were designed to glow at. Purple glow is just the near end visible spetrum of the light output since its not all single wavelength. I have a deep UV LED light source (365nM), you can't really tell its on, but it lights up conformal coatings and other UV fluorescent materials like magic. I have another one that was only 380nM and you can see it glowing purple, doesn't do nearly as good a job.
