Its the 50w version
This thing rocks! dont even need to wait for night time to play with it
But I noticed when dont turn it on and I press the battery check button it shows 80% - 100% battery but after a few minutes it shows 40%

is this normal for the voltage drop to be so quick?

The short answer is "Yes" the battery condition meter will vary greatly depending on whether the light is on or off. I just tried it with my BB. Off, meter was 2 reds and 3 green (10). On was 2 reds and 1 green (60). When I turned it back off and let it sit a couple minutes, I had 2 reds and 2 greens (80). The key here, IIRC, is that the meter is indicating correct charge when................now herein lies the problem with this old brain of mine. I don't remember which way it is supposed to be read - on or off. My guess is that you read it in the "light off" condition (or after a period of rest after having been on)

From the Xevision site:

"Battery check:

Remaining-battery-life meter

Also Charging and Charge completed indicated by the LED lights.

Battery Power check by pressing button A: indicator light at level 10 showing fully charged battery.

Whenever indicator is down to the level 2, battery must be charged"

Dan, will you chime in here?

07AccordEX IIRC, the light you got was a first gen, if that makes a difference.

Oh, ok that makes sense then
the light was bought from ralphrussell and he said it was getting ~92min runtime until it shut off by itself

Well, i was refering to this, quoted from their website:

Two ™XeRay models are available:
  1. 35 watt (3200 Lumens), what are Lumens?
  2. 50 watt (5300 Lumens)
  3. 75 watt >8000 Lumens), special orders only
I´ve sendt them a email about the price of number three, because it´s only listed for number one and two.Now let´s see....
I must beg for forgiveness, but...Barnburner....is the 75 Watt Version of the XeVision the legendary BarnBurner??? *please don´t beat me*
As you all know, english isn´t my mother language, so actually...what does "BarnBurner" means???
Please enlighten me :D

Kind regards

EDIT: Found it in the Freedictionary.com...Someone who illegally sets buildings on fire....German translation: Brandstifter :devil::devil:

Keep in mind with that "1st Gen" 50W unit that the PCB has a constant drain that can ruin your battery if you let it run dead that is in the 3-4 month time frame. It is discussed in one of these threads. Good luck finding it in my list. LOL! This was improved in later versions. Basically I have a tickler reminder to recharge it every 2 months, and have not failed since we all found out about this "issue." Worse case, you have to buy another battery pack. So Ralph never did the BB upgrade huh?

Flashanator, we are all conspiring to make sure you never get a BB! :poke: :)

I've become obsessed! Lock my self in my own room with pictures of Barn Burners all over the walls. Yelling out "No more BB!! It's a conspiracy"

Be patient Flash, some sucker.....I mean CPF'r will let go of his or her BB one of these decades :D

No, not me Flash. My BB is very "special" to me. Polarion or someone else will have to produce something in this form factor and signifcantly brighter in order for me to part with my special BB.

Mac, with all your contacts, you should be able to come up with a BB easily. (if that is what you were saying in your post. I wasn't quite sure.)
