My phraug came today!

Mine did too. I'll post beam shots of my DX 30, EnVee 60 and "frog" <150
hopefully today.

Also beam spots up close at 30ft looking through my laser goggles and with a ruler for a very rough idea of the different divergences.

One thing i did immediatly notice is that the beam comes out of the aperature at about a 87 degree angle, is that something i should worry about?

Good news is it arrived. Bad news is I got a bum laser it seems.

I'll post pics later tonight but the divergence is way off. At 30ft the beam spot consisted of two smeared lobes totalling aproximately 2 inches in length in a roughly oval shape. Needless to say I don't have to use Psudo's divergence calculator to tell it's out of spec.

It stinged my skin close up so the power seems to be there though. I looked inside at the lens and could see no apparent defects or obstructions.

It shipped amazing fast from Canada at least so I hope I can exchange it. I think the design is great and look forward to a good unit.

p.s. Just read your post ooopretty and mine comes out at seemingly 90 deg. Can you judge your divergence by chance?

Im sorry i cant, it seems to be working fine, no split beam. Im getting som e2's shortly so i can see what this thing can actually do....it smoked but couldnt light a match with normal alkelines.

Is the on/off botton on yours loose?

That's what he's talking about? I'll already have the Fusion Laser from Canada, and the name in this thread threw me off; never heard it called that before. Thank anyhow.

Well, it is a great laser, it can pop balloons but im having trouble lighting matches. Funny thing, i was able to light only one match from about 4 inches and using Energizer® e2® Titanium. Im not able to light a match (even when it has black marker) when using the Energizer Lithiums. I dont know, i was expecting alot more. Maybe its the matches? there the typical red heads.

OK that explains it, there are actually 2 other Fusions out there that I know of, WL & DL, and now this one; so I guess it's a good name considering 3 are named the same.

There is a 30 day warranty on these lasers. If there is a manufacturing defect in the laser, contact the seller for details. He will make it right. I know he expects the best quality from the manufacturer.

Does he test them before sending them out?

yes and he sends back all of the defective ones to China. But as with all sensitive equipment, who knows how things get jarred around during shipping, even with proper packaging.

So I'd say my Phraug is going back for an exchange. Looking forward to a new one, I still think this is the best deal in green DPSS lasers right now.

I'm not sure we can allow you to call that a "spot"... :lolsign: I'd definalty get that beast replaced. Sounds like a good deal though, if you get a good one back.

Yep. I heard he sold out his first batch of 30 but would wait for the next ones.

I think I'm going to do away with my sig untill I can find a better one
