I just NEED TO VENT!!

To make a long story short, I got stuck working a double last night.
I normally work 8ax4p but a co-worker called out sick, so I stayed for
the 4px12a shift as well.

When I took my break around 8pm, I went to my car just to sit and relax
for an hour, rest my feet. I went back to work, it wasn't until around 11pm that I realized I left my pd on the passenger seat.

I went back outside to get it, some ******* had broken into my car, my drivers window was shattered!!! Not only did they take my Sirius radio and CD's, they took my Ti-Pd as well:rant:

Now I'm stuck with a car repair, no radio and my favorite light gone.

That's a bad day for sure! Something like that would probably ruin my whole week. Hope things go better for you.

 only one is enough to express the feeling, these are some mean streets

I had some    hole hit my car a year ago and they swiped my phatbox out of the hidden compartment in the trunk. On a rainy night just like this one, so not only did I need a window repair but every thing got soaked.

If I'd lost a McGizmo in this way I'd be spending the next rainy night on a rooftop in the area listening for alarms :xyxgun:

I am sorry you lost your TI PD. I bet you don't do that again.
What is really terrible is the fact that the thief doesn't even know that the flashlight is more valuable than the radio which will be worth nothing just as soon as it gets turned off when you report it as stolen. On the other hand maybe somebody from work has seen that light and stole it when they saw it in your car. Lets face it the thief was an amateur. Wait untill they use up the batteries and have to buy new ones. The light will get trashed quickly. Too bad. You could allways put a no questions asked reward sign up in the area....Good luck
I hate when this happens. Do you have insurance? Any surveillance cameras in the area?

I will never understand how a person can damage or steal another persons belongings and be able to live with themselves.

Lips and RPM, count me in gentlemen.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I'm in for $20 to help replace the light.

I hope you were able to do a report and the police are able to catch this guy.

:awman: Sorry for your hassles, that sucks! I could always go back to my camp site and recover my night-light for ya...

Nah, too much cleaning... Count me in for $25 as well. No one should be Ti-PDless! What would the world be like then?! :ohgeez:

I'm in for $20, that makes my blood boil! Show the police pics of the light, the perp will probably use the light to commit more burglaries.... When he gets caught he'll have the PD on him most likley....

I will pitch $25 too, just let me know where to send the money. Man that really sucks sorry to hear that.

:awman: I'm in for $20.00. I just got a Ti PD-S and I can only imagine how I would feel if it was stolen or lost. I hope the guy gets what he deserves. :xyxgun:

Guys,

First of all, I just want to say that you guys really
touched me when I read the relpies. CPF will always be a VERY SPECIAL
place for me. In this day and age, it's the best feeling in the world to be able to
come to a place like this with truly decent members like yourselves.

Yesterday was just one horrible day! If my post sounded like a rant,
I apologize. I was just extremely upset.

When I woke up this morning, I was hoping that it was all just a bad dream....
then I looked over at my nightstand and it wasn't there :(
Anyway, I just got back from having the car window replaced.
I'll try and pick up a new Sirius radio this weekend as well.

Yaesumofo, I work in Manhattan NY. I was parked about 2 blocks away from
my job, so I doubt it was anyone from my job. As far as insurance goes, it's not even worth the trouble reporting it to Geico. My premium would probably just go up, so it was cheaper for me to replace the glass myself.

Again guys, thanks for the group effort, it's truly appreciated.
I just don't have that type of cash to just replace it.
