For the past month I've been using 10440's from Lighthound in my Fenix L0D. today when I went to change cells and put the old cell in the charger, it wouldn't light up. the power light is off. switched cells still nothing. tried foil on contact still nothing.:sigh:
I've gotten used to the power of the 10440s hate to go back to AAAs!

I have 5 nanos and haven't had any failures...yet :)

Have you considered buying a replacement instead of giving up on 10440s?

Mine died so i opened it up and there were burnt components inside. no biggie, it was cheap enough.

I love the 10440 & L0D combo. this is my 4th the nano charger; all have been fine so far until this is my first 10440 charger. :sigh:

I may get the 14500/10440 charger combo as I think I'll catch the 14500 bug next!

THANKS Lighthound!

I told the folks at Lighthound about it and they said:

Good for Lighthound - I'm glad this has been resolved.

However there have been other reports of Nano chargers failing (just failing - no safety issues). This thread is quite recent on the subject - your dead charger makes the 5th failure in the last 3 weeks that I have heard of, although 2 of these may have been due to external factors.

EDIT: Note to mods - it might be an sensible idea to merge these 2 threads.
