Hi Guys,
Need a light recommendation here.
-Price? $25-$50
-Preferably 2 stages. Low stage low enough to where it wont ruin completely night adapted eyes, but also light enough to do some very closeup reading such as a chart or something. But also bright enough to light up a fuse panel or something in case the power goes out (on low mode). (also, the ability to put a red light lense on there to help preserve the night vision). Then on the high mode, high enough for medium range work. Throw wont be too much of an issue here. But a good mix of brightness/runtime is preferable.
-beam? preferably a good mix of spot and spill. That will it will be good for reading and checking things of close to medium range in the dark.
-batteries? this light isn't for me, but for somebody else. So preferably no lithium primary cells or anything like that.
-size? The person i'm recommending the light to currently uses a minimag. So preferably nothing too much larger than that.
- plastic/aluminum? I dont really think that's too big of an issue.I doubt the person cares which one it is. Perhaps a metal one will make it look more expensive.
I think i've mentioned everything.
Thanks you guys! The only light i can think of is the SF aviator and that's definitely out of the specified price range.
