Replacing a surefire e2b and that as large as I'd want to go. Would be nice to go a bit smaller. Very much like the linear, non-clicky switch the e2b has, though I know it's uncommon. I just don't want a switch that cycles through a million settings when I'll only ever use low and full output.

Want something I can charge with USB-C since everything else I own does (integrated or removable cells are both fine). If it's able to do 2-way fast charging like a miniature power bank that's a bonus.

Around 1000 lumens is sufficient

Did play around with a Streamlight Wedge XT, didn't like the switch (has input lag and it's too easy to lock on constant on when you just want a momentary burst of light) and the beam pattern was a bit too floody for my preference

Have to be honest, it's going to be very difficult to recommend a light outside of Surefire if that is your preferred switch. Only model I know that is not a SureFire that uses that switch is from Streamlight. And, their 2AAAA (not a typo) penlight model sure as heck isn't producing any where close to 1000 lumens.

I'd be fine with a clicky as long as it's pretty firm and has something to protect it from accidental activation like a surround that allows the light to tailstand. The most important thing is that it not cycle through a million functions. I want to be able to press and get all the light and release to get none of it. I want to be able to signal with the light without it switching modes

If you're checking out lights like the Streamlight Wedge XT, how about the Nebo Edge 2K tactical flashlight?
