Just for fun (and because I had nothing better to do

), I made an 'overview' of the spotlights in the 2M category. I personally don't own any of them, I'm sure someone who does can give comment.

FWIW, the lens on the LSI is Lexan®, the one on the Optronics is tempered glass (pyrex?).
They all have a Sealed Lead Acid battery and the runtimes are factory claimed at 15-20 minutes for the LSI, 20 minutes for the Optronics and 30 minutes for the Vector.

Don't rule out the 3 million CP Vector 139 to be had for $50 refurb from Vector or new for that price at Target or wherever.

Now, I'm not sure how they all come up with these CP ratings. My tests on a Vector 137CO showed 100,000 cp instead of the 1,000,000 rated. The Brinkman Q-whatever was about 65% of that.

Not that these aren't bright, but I think there might be a marketing factor--or a technique I haven't figured out yet for measuring them.

Cheers,

Richard

Looking to buy a rechargable 12v under $100 in the 2 million range. There are a few of then which one would be the best Quality?

I have scene the Vector at Target and it looked cheap but I haven't scene the others to compare. I would sacrifice some brightness for a beter light.

The specific Vector (137CO) I got was much better built than the Brinkmann QBeam Max Million which does seem cheap. While the 137CO is still cheap and not a UKE by any means, it is NOT as bad as the Brinkmann. The 2MCP Vector looks suspiciously like the Brinkmann (could they be made in the same factory in China?).

The 137CO (and the 137Y which is on a Web site -- not Vector's -- but is posted as a 6V light) are the only two that have the rotating pistol/lantern grip--a VERY nice feature IMHO.

Cheers,

Richard
