Hi,
I'm new to the forum--so apologies in advance for my limited knowledge. I'm interested in creating an RGB wall wash lighting effect for a wall in my home. I would like the system to have about 5-7 lighting sequences that it can go through. The space to be lit is about 6 ft. x 6 ft., and the lighting doesn't have to be super intense because it is a relatively small, interior space, and the house lighting would be off when I activate this system. I'm interested in creating something that can accomplish what you see in the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a9SsOsGsBA

I have some basic questions:

1) Can I accomplish what is shown in the video with some cheaper, lower MCD RGB LEDs, circuitry, and a small power source? Most of the RGB wall washer products I see out there are commercial grade and $150+. But Im not looking to light up the outside of a building or a dance floor--just a small wall in my house in the dark.
2) Does anyone have any recommendations for the mcd level of LEDs, I would need to accomplish this?
3) Aside from sourcing and assembling the components to create this, are there any other burning questions you think I need to address or challenges to accomplishing these requirements that I am unaware of?
3) Would anyone be interested in helping me build something like this?

Thanks!
Ashton

I've built a few of Big Clive's RGB controllers - very nice part.

On the above page he has flood light circuit boards that you can populate with low-current LEDs that will probably do the job - provided you build enough of them...

Thanks for the reply. I've found some good stuff through your link.
