Need help - installing oregonshooter L1 tailcap

Can someone please help? I have an oregonshooter L1 tailcap. When I tried to install it, I couldn't figure out how. It looks like I have to remove what is on the tailcap first. I did a search but I couldn't find anything. Where can I find installation instructions? Thanks.

Zot- The retaining ring that holds the boot down on the stock L1 tailcap needs to be removed first. Leatherman, or small needlenose pliers should do the trick. Mine was very stybborn, I had a hole in my left index finger for a week or so from the pliers when they slipped. Be sure to use a dish towel or something similar to hold the tailcap... 🙂

No heat needed - it just unscrews, as scout24 says. It's not difficult - even I have managed to do it, lol.

OK. So just needle nose pliers and a dish towel to stop the bleeding then?

That should do it! makes a wonderful addition to the L1, IMHO, and works on my A2 as well. Tailstanding is good, and less if any accidental activation!
