Hi guys,

I have an old DMM that I purchased a while back ago from Radio Shack. It's a Micronta 22-167. I have since long lost the manual and was wondering if anyone has a digital version they can send me (or point me to a link where I can download it from).

I tried Radio Shack's sppt site but they only have the manual in Spanish.

TIA!,
Tim

Is there anything particular you want to know about it?

The Specifications section of this page contains the most important things you would need to know:

http://support.radioshack.com/produ...?sku_id=22-167&Name=Meters and Scopes&Reuse=N

Beyond that the method of use for a DMM is basically the same for all meters from all manufacturers. If you read the Spanish version of the Owners Manual you will see it just tells you basic things like "set the meter to the right range", "plug the test leads into the right sockets", etc...

Cool, thx for the reply. Also, any good references so I can brush up on my basic understanding of electronics field in general?

Thx!,
Tim

Wow! I have a radio shack meter too. The stock number is only one more than yours 22-168a. I can't find my book quickly but remember it being lengthy. Mine can hook up to serial port and be controlled by computer and gather data on some connection. That section took up most of the space in the manual. I never got around to using it at home. I was too busy with automated testers at work to bother with it. [Terradyne etc.]

The general use instructions were pretty similar to above. Set to desired measurement, volts, amps, freq, etc. Set the scale and measure.

Thx guys!

HKJ, I've bookmarked your excellent little guide, very very helpful and easy to understand.

Cheers,
Tim

Tim!

Did you ever get the Mironta 22-167 DMM user manual?

I did but only in Spanish... (attached in case you need it - can always use a online translator if required).

I have the Fat Yellow *******, 22-805.

Going on 23 years and it works for me. I have a decent Phillips as a backup.
