need help which way crystal lens goes back in?

Im so stupid, after alignment,pot mod, and resistor mod my leadlight cranked out 65mw and was awesome. I took it apart to tighter focus the beam. I noticed the circuit board was not straight because of pushing the button too hard so I pushed on it a little and the circuit board dropped real quick like something snapped. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif I thought the diode leg might of snapped so I loosened the lock ring to take the diode out and check things out. Everything still seems solid and secure but now I dont know which way to put the crystal lens back in. Theres one in the brass barrel and one that came out that has a brass ring around it. I tried it both ways but results suck. I was cranking 65mw and now only can manage 25-35mw. Any suggestions?

Also when I took the brass body out I dropped it and some parts fell out. What all goes inbetween the diode and brass body, If I look inside the brass body I see a small round lense, I have a similar sized lense thats removable it looks the same and has a brass ring around it, then I have the small brass shroud that goes over the diode. Am I missing anything? Please help

could one of these diode legs of snapped inside the diode? Im getting very crappy readings now. This sucks bad

Basic layout, simplified lens parameters: In order of rear to front. ">" deontes to next piece.

Diode > lens in brass housing shaped like this (| > crystal set, composites layered like this |_|__| (thin first 45 degrees polarization angle) in relation to second crystal (composite set makes this easy) > unhoused lens shaped like this |) > adjsutable collimator (black housing, lens shaped like this () > apeture.

So , D (| |_|__| |) () = Green.
