I just found this site while I was searching some info on flashlight and this forum looked very interessting so i decided to register.
In a store close to my house (I live in Belgium) they are selling a Led flashlight (+- 7.00 $) , 2 AA batteries included and the case is Aluminium with a rubber grip. Now is my question is this a good flashlight to start modding?
My plans are the following:
I want to replace the led's with 1 good bulb, a 7.2V bulb preferably and replace the 2 AA batteries (1.5V) with 2 AA size Li-ion batteries (3.6V 900mAh).
I read that the KPR118 is 7.2V and 600 or 700mAh so if I use 2 3.6V Li-Ion batteries of 900mAh I should be able to use it around 1h20min with a full charge.
Is this a good Idea? Is it even possible to change a Led flashlight into a normal Flashlight?
