Right now I am a soldier deploy in Iraq , and got my hands on the hellfighter/hellfire thanks to my supply , but here comes the really stupid thing. Need a power option because the cable provided was not really design for us that on the humvv all the time. And thanks to the military I have a lot of 5590s , but the cable won't really hold them intact with all that driving (and no way I can slice that cable because of how expansive it's) . So I went and look for the other option the "cigarette lighter" since the turret on the humvv now is eletric with 2 12V battery on it. So any idea where I can find all the parts to rig one with the female end of cigarette lighter to hook up on those batteries and a shorter cable for that hellfighter/hellfire ?

If you are able to, try and contact Surefire directly. They should be able to help you find a proper, reliable cable instead of having to slice and ghetto your own to make it work.
Maybe one of the few who own one on this board can give you more help.
:welcome: and stay safe over there.

If you have the 5590's maybe you could figure out some sort of rigging. Some clever use of rope or 2" webbing could be fashioned to make a mount that can be tied off to a support in the vehicle.

I would try pming a couple of guys that found cheap Amphenol plugs and ask if for some money (or maybe even since your in the service as a complimentary service :p) they could rig you up a long cord with alligator clips or something to attach to the cells you want to use.

You can buy the Amphonel connectors at an electronics store that carries them. I bought mine for $45.00 and used some 2-conductor wire to make my own power cable for my Hellfighter.

Heres the HELLFIGHTER thread to help...

There is a TON of info in the 1st post and more throughout.

Hope that helps.

BTW....you can cut the end off that conects to the battery, and as long as you know what is positive and negative, you should be able to wire in a cigarette lighter end. For the external switch....conect the 2-wires and it is just bypassing the switch so only the switch on the Hellfighter will work...or you can wire your own in-line.

Be Safe!

thanks for all the replies, I been trying to look into the cigrette lighter part , but the cable come with it is too long , also is kinda hard to get anything down here ( the PX here sells nothing eletric wise , I can't even find eletrical tape have to use the duck tape) I have been thinking , If I just can find a wire that hook up to the end of the spotlight and turn it into 1 positive and negative , then I can hook it up to the battery.
