The title says it all.

I love my G2/M60L for output, beam quality, run time, and size. It would be perfect if it also had a two stage tail cap. Are there any such tailcaps available?

W.

PS: I tried "search" but I didn't find an answer.

wmirag, I'm with you. A 2-stage Malkoff set-up in the G2 would rock. There are various threads out there on this subject. The bottom line is that modding the G2 tailcap is really only possible with the older, non-lock-out version.

I've emailed Gene (aka Mr. Malkoff) before asking if he'd consider doing a 2-stage version of his drop-in so we wouldn't have to worry about modding tailcaps. He didn't seem to think it was on the horizon unfortunately. Maybe he'll reconsider!

As far as I know, a two stage tailcap or tailcap mod is the only way you'll ever get 2 stages with an M60. I've already discussed this with Gene myself and that's the way he looks at it too. Bottom line is that his driver design is solid and I guess he doesn't want to mess with it.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I had no idea AW was knocking these out. I'll have to get one for my 6P, but which tailcap to mod, I have both the original one and a clickie....

Thanks to all of you for your input.

I do want to mention that I asked AW about his tailcaps via PM. With his permission, I quote his response:

" The switch is designed for use with high power incan lamps. I don't know whether it will work with the M60L or not.

Regards,
AW "
