And please if you don't post your desired board keep in mind that the default config will be used: standard Badboy400+lux3


BTW UPDATES:

The heat sink is on the lathe, already did the threading, but now I need to do both side holes, I'm pretty sure I'll post some pics today.

Since my badboy converters are still on the mail, I'll make 2 dissipators, the designed unit and an extra one to accomodate more properly the converter used yesterday for the quick hack.

Speaking of yesterday, I talked with the anodizer shop owner, he toldme that using 7075 in a unit this small that will be hard anodized is a waste of money, and that it anodizes OK, but not as well as 6061 due to the high alloy content, so maybe I'll go back to the standard 6061 alloy for a more durable finish. Just to let you know /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Little update:

if you wondered how I put a lambda board into the NEOCA BL, here is the pic:

Sorry for the lousy update, but I have a little problem with my lathe speed control (it doesn't work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ). I'm trying to resolve it.

But since the parts are still in the mail, no changes in the timeframe are expected, BTW, did I posted a timeframe?

Past:
28/12 original design posted

Today:
waiting for parts/fixing lathe

Parts should arrive around Jan/10 - Jan/14
Day after receiving parts:
Fit tests
lux tests
temperature at different levels
comparative beamshots
runtime plots

a week later or less, post in Custom B/S/T

The light should be in your hands by late february-mid march

Pablo, are you going to be buying bulk sammies from the shop or are you going to construct them yourself? If you're going to build them yourself can we give you what BIN we prefer on the emmitter? Obviously we'll take what you can get but its always nice to try /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Because im vastly partial to the TYOL since i like the HID bluish tint.
