Neofab Legion II upgradeable?

With newer and brighter LEDs coming out all the time, I would really hate to buy the Legion II now and have it be obsolete next year. I really like the looks and lumens , but wonder if it will have the staying power and upgradability of Surefire. I suspect that will never be an issue with the M6 - the other light I'm considering.

I don't think the current Legion II would be considered obsolete even if the SST-50 or SST-90 version is out. As apparently, even though they have higher theoretical max output, it cannot be taken advantage of without a host significantly bigger than the Legion II due to heat and voltage/capacity issues
