I had teased about these a few months ago and now they're available. I have no affiliation with Rigid Industries, just like the product.

I'll probably get a set or two for the Jeep to use on the trails. Should be great for backing up. After seeing them in person last month, they look perfect for severe use.

I have tow pairs of these installed on my 2010 Ford Raptor.

Rigid has custom mounting brackets that allowed me to place them in the bumper openings.

Installed a pair of amber floods and a pair of white spots on either side of the front of the truck.

They work great and are very high quality.

Any beam shots? flood vs spot, white vs amber. I havent found anyone that has good pictures yet.

beamshots

any beam shots

While beamshots are fun to look at, they won't tell you that much about the objective performance of the lights. It's also somewhat difficult to produce a meaningful picture for even subjective evaluation; so much depends on the camera settings to make it turn out right. The final link (by no means the weakest) is/are your own monitor(s) and the lighting in the room.

I suppose but still a basis of comparison. Having a photo of hella h4 vs the shot of hella 4000, with the same camera, on the same road, in the same conditions gives a comparison. More over there isnt any literature on the beam pattern for the fog vs spot. Is the spot a 15 deg, or is the fog 30 deg. Its not relative to me standing there in person watching with my own eyes. This forum is full of photos showing output and beam patterns. You get my point

Sure, that could be problematic if you're trying to take light meter readings from an image displayed on your monitor. :ohgeez:
The point of a beam shot is to evaluate how the unit in question allocates the light it is spec'd to emit. Yes, it's possible that a HID-based fixture will have a very similar beam pattern to this LED unit and even appear to have similar brightness in a picture... It is assumed that the reader realizes there is a 2-3x difference in the light level after browsing the specs.

On topic: Nice looking light, and it's good to see aftermarket LED lights with lumen ratings comparable to halogen bulbs, rather than the toys offered in the past. Sorry to say that at $110 per head, I'll be watching from the sidelines on this one. $110 per pair would have me interested.

No, it's problematic if you're trying to evaluate the evenness of lighting, and trying to discern if you're seeing beam artifacts and whatnot. Simple differences in contrast can change the look of a beamshot fairly dramatically. Not to mention it can be difficult to determine the light's color based on your monitor's settings.

Dude..... :shakehead:shakehead:shakehead:shakehead just agree beamshots would be nice.... ok :shakehead:shakehead:shakehead:shakehead

I pinged Scott, the guy I know with the Rigid on the back of his Jeep. Maybe he can do a beamshot from the Rigid and from a Solstice cube.
He and his crew did a dandy driving light comparison for Overland Journal recently and, while not completely ready for peer review, it was pretty comprehensive and I agreed with the results.

He's pretty busy so I'm not sure if he'll get back to this all that fast.
And I still haven't bought a pair yet.

That would be great, I have been asking around several forums and the company, but to no avail. I may just buy 2 in white/spot and see for myself, I can always use them for back/side lighting if Im not happy with them.

Well I havent gotten around to getting them yet. I did hear back from ridig.
Not awesome, but better than nothing, I still plan on getting a pair soon.

I have some shots, let me know if you need more info. Duallywhite is a pic of two Spot white Duallys. Dually amber is two amber spots. Atvmount is a 6" E-Series, equal to 3 duallys..

Looks great on the ATV.

I like the amber too. Looks like the spots on the truck might need a little aiming.

They're the spot lights, not the flood or medium beams.

So, obviously, spot lights are for throw and not curve or fill.

Not sure what your issue is with the amber lighting.

And, these are additional to any lighting on the vehicles. You flip the switch when you want more light.

I'd love to see the ATV pic with just the stock lamps on for comparison against the spots, and with both stock/spots on too.

These pods are great additional lighting.
