They have launched the ZD832 and ZD860 LED driver IC's.

The 832 can directly off AC mains with no transformer and set to upto 30mA constant output.

The 860 runs off 4 to 40V AC or DC for up to1.5A output.

i like taking the $1 cell chargers at my local independent $1 store and making night lights from them. They put out about 6 V DC. They put some IF noise on the AM band BUT do the job.
