Looks like AE has come out with new bulbs. They put out 300 more lumens than their stock bulb, so the 20W can output 1500 lumens and the 25W can output 1800 lumens. I suspect these are being driven harder because the stated bulb life dropped by half. It is described as having a "greenish tint", something which I'd have to see in person to really judge if it's :sick2: or not.

I would suspect it's similar in tint to WG LEDs, so it's not a huge issue for me. For $5 more than the stock replacement it's not a bad deal. As soon as I get the money I'll be buying one and putting it up for review.

Sorry Patriot, didn't mean to get your hopes up with the thread title. I know you at least wanted to see a 4300K bulb (as do I) and I'm hoping AE will come up with something nice very soon.

Looks like they're coming out with a dive light too:

You did get me excited for a moment. I'll don't really understand why they won't bring warmer bulbs to market unless they're just to expensive or something. The additional lumens are nice though and I'll take them. Depending on what you think about the bulb I'll probably get one for mine as well. The 1800 lumen Xenide25W is what the light should have been in the first place. There is very little difference between the AE24 and the Xenide25. I don't have the Xenide here to compare with my more recent warm up video's but I know for a fact that it doesn't put out as many lumens as Wolf-Eyes Boxer. Perhaps this new bulb will bring it up even with the Boxer. Hopefully AE Light uses the HO bulb in all newly manufactured Xenide's as well. This would add a lot of value to the light.

Nice to see that they'll be releasing a diving light soon. I hope they offer a 25W version. Also, some rumors have been floating around about some kind of weapon light. I say, "bring it!"

I have both , the 20W Xenide and the boxer 24W.
I think the AE is rated 1200 lumens OTF , and the boxer 1800 bulb lumens.
