Got my new bezel from Surefire today.Wanted a new lens as mine is cracked. Surefire said they would replace the entire bezel but that I would not have the clip. No big deal as I carry it in a SF pouch. So I go to swap the bezel out and now the light will not work. I looked into the new bezel and it has a post in the middle where the lamp goes into. The old bezel is flat.Dang. So I try to unscrew the end of the new bezel by hand to use the new lens and its a no go! Any advice as what to do other than send the whloe light to SF? I did a search and all I could find is problems in removing the entire bezel. I just want to undo the very end to remove the lens.

Is there any way you can post a picture of the 2 bezels? You may get more help if people could see what you are talking about.

I have an old E1 bezel but its the E1-SG (gray).

Photos would be helpful.

It is very rare for an E2e to have a bezel-mounted clip. That was one of the main improvements made when they evolved their E2 to the E2e.

I suggest that you may need to screw the bezel down pretty tight onto the body. Does this help?

I will try to post pics. It must be a rare one cause it does have the clip mounted to the bezel by what looks like a rivet. I did screw the new bezel down as far as it would go. The new bezel,as I stated, has a post on the inside that the lamp goes into. The old bezel is flat on the inside. Perhaps the post won't let the lamp make proper contact?I have tried to unscrew the end of the new bezel by hand,to swap out the lens, but it won't budge.I will give SF a call today and see what they say.

Then you have an E2 rather than an E2e...

I'm sure I've got photos somewhere of when I put an E2e bezel on an E2 body and it operated without issue.

I have a GG&G tactical head on the light but I can't find the allen wrench to remove said head.Just below the GG&G I can see a "/E" below the "E" in Surefire.A buddy is lending me his set of allens to remove the GG&G. So can the end of the new bezel twist off to get to the lens?

:D:D
Got the GG&G tactical head off with right allen and swapped out the old bezel for the new. Turned it real tight and :D IT WORKS!!!.The old bezel reads E2 Executive,#A41735. This info was covered by the GG&G and I bought it a long time ago.Anyone need an old bezel with the clip. The lens is cracked, but it still works. Thanks to all for your help.

Wait, yes!
That's the only part Surefire won't replace for me, and my E2 is killing batteries silently in the night and I want to know why!
