Re: NEW - CBA II Software coming Soon!!!

Threads merged...

There are a few "issues" with this new software, but it does give some additional capabilities.

I am just begining to look at it.

Re: New CBA-II Battery Tester Beta Software

Yeah, I found customized scale (Y axis more than X axis) display issues which I sent screenshot to Del. He needs feedback to pass on to programmer.

Re: New CBA-II Battery Tester Beta Software

Thanks for the heads-up, I just installed it here.

Looks good, but still no cell type appropriate for 123A cells.

Forward all those ideas/bugs to Del's email in my first thread. Everyone sees something unique in beta testing.

Not sure if I know what you mean db, but I run tests on LiFePO4's by just lowering the "Test Cutoff Voltage". Works for me! 🙂

Just tried the new software for the first time got 20+ new cells to test and match up.

I can not seem to save my own profile. I can type in a new name and get it switchable between the new one and the default but I never get the option to save the profile. Anyone else encountered this? anything I should be doing? Anyone know if it gose just to a simple file anywhere I could try adding in manualy?

Seems to be working sort of now, although I still don't get a save dialogue like the help leads me to expect and I am not sure what I did. I do at least have a profile setup for my 14500 and 18650 protected trustfire cells though so want be messing up forgetting to lower the cutoff like I used to with the old software. I must say the 14500's suck (as excpected) compared to the description of 900mah I get 650-700 whereas the 18650's look to be coming in very well spec says 2500mah and I am getting 2450-2525 so far so very good.

Has anyone got the pro version what do people think of it? The constant power option is apealing as I could do a simulated runtime for my task led driver based stuff.

I was giving serious consideration to this software upgrade but now I am going to pass on investing any more in the CBA II until one of two things happen:

  1. True Vista driver support (not likely from responses I got from WMR)
  2. A new hardware revision that supports Vista.

Otherwise the last releases of the free software seem to be working very well and will extend the life of the CBA II for those that use an older OS.
