Hi

All modules have shipped, you all should have received a notice. If you didn't check your spam folder and put us on the safe list.

I have a new smooth reflector designed for the XPG, it is from a new manufacturer and it really give a good hotspot with very few rings. It really looks much like a XML in a smooth with a hotspot and a aurora around it and that is about it. I will try to get some pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks

Dave

Can we buy these individually? I would love to make my drop in have a tighter spot with less rings.

HI

You can buy them on my website but I can't guarantee you can just switch them. Each vendor sends his own special pill anymore so maybe it will work and maybe not. Also I did not say NO rings as all XPG's have some rings I simply said less rings.

HI

Sure these will fit a 6P and yes you will have no problem with these if bumped around, they often are used in weapons lights so the potting does it job on shock. You will probably have to cut the outer spring to a ring or two since using a 6P but since you are a mechanic that should not be a problem, wire cutters make short work of it.

Hi

no real tips on installing it just watch how it comes apart. There may be some picts in FM's thread. I am glad you mentioned it is for a Cooly as they need to be built several MM longer to work properly. All my potting is thermal

Thanks

Dave

PS after this order only TWO! XPG2 3D's left until next week. Regular North America distributors still have not broke any reels in neutrals, I have more on the way but realistically it will next week. Hopefully early in the week.

Re: XP-G2 / P60 STYLE MODULES / COOLWHITES & NEUTRALS

I don't know if anyone is interested, but I'm doing some runtime tests on my 3-mode 1.4a drop in. I'll update this post with more as I go. Not 100% scientific... but might be a good indication of what to expect.

Here are my results with a single AW IMR 16340. When it hit 27 minutes it started flashing, so while the voltage when I took the battery out was 2.99, it must have been right at 2.8 or below under load. I was expecting 20 minutes based on some discharge graphs of the IMR 16340, so I was surprised to get 26 useful minutes on high.

Edit: Added medium on IMR 16340 and high on IMR 18350.

AW IMR 16340 High
Mins - Voltage

0 - 4.18
2 - 4.07
4 - 3.94
6 - 3.86
8 - 3.78
10 - 3.71
12 - 3.66
14 - 3.62
16 - 3.59
18 - 3.55
20 - 3.50
22 - 3.45
24 - 3.24
26 - 3.08
27 - 2.99

AW IMR 16340 Medium
Mins - Voltage
0 - 4.20
5 - 4.09
10 - 4.01
15 - 3.94
20 - 3.87
25 - 3.81
30 - 3.75
35 - 3.70
40 - 3.64
45 - 3.61
50 - 3.58
55 - 3.54
60 - 3.50
65 - 3.47
70 - 3.42
75 - 3.31
80 - 3.07
83 - 2.92 (Started flashing)

AW IMR 18350 High
Minutes - Voltage

0 - 4.20
2 - 4.07
4 - 3.98
6 - 3.92
8 - 3.84
10 - 3.79
12 - 3.75
14 - 3.71
16 - 3.67
18 - 3.64
20 - 3.62
22 - 3.59
24 - 3.54
26 - 3.50
28 - 3.43
30 - 3.35
32 - 3.21
34 - 3.02 (Started flashing)

I'm too lazy to do the 18350 on medium... but you get the idea...

I love this drop in!
