Hi there,

Here's a calculator that can be used to compute LED
parameters and other electrical stuff.

CPF Manufacturers can post formulas that their customers
can load into the calculator to aid in the calculation of
resistors, inductor values, etc.

Comes with LED formulas, inductor and core formulas,
lots of other useful stuff too. Load the file
EE_Formulas.dat into the calculator once it starts up
(by double clicking the exe file after unzipping).

If you open two calculators you can pass data between
the two also.

After you use the calculator a little while if you have
any ideas for improving it (anything at all) let me know
here or via PM.

This is especially useful where you manufacture a circuit
and you want to let your customers know how to calculate
a value (like a resistor) from their input/output requirements
or something like that.

It's also useful for using as a standard scientific
calculator with many built in functions for algebra,
trig, and calculus, as well as regression.

If you're working within a text file, you can use
"In Place Eval", which evaluates an expression right
inside it's built in text editor.
For example, you type:
"1+3"
then highlight it and click "In Place Eval" and
it changes to this:
"1+3=4"

Almost forgot to mention, it's got a built in
equation solver especially useful when you dont
feel like changing the form of the equation to
calculate a value that the algebraic form isnt
suited for.
For example:
y=x+3
you would have to use algebra to solve for x, but
with the solver you just have to enter it into the
'Solver' function.

Two help files also included.

Catalog of built in functions on the main menu's
"Help/Catalog".

More formulas on the way too...

Hello again,

The calculator has been updated to make it more useful.
Included in the EE formulas (used for LED circuits and
other electronics) is Ohm's Law formulas for DC circuits.
It's also now got a built in appointment calendar /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's the new link:

If you use the calc PM me when you get a change and tell
me what you like or dislike about it or would like to
see added to it.

Take care,
Al
