OK...new guy...bit by the flashlight bug...building a VG FB3/E2C with a Surefire 6P head and 2xAA or 3x123 power with a 320 Lumen P60 drop in...just a good pocket EDC light (I think) I think I may end up building 3, the EDC I am now building, a "thrower" capable of being seen from the Kuiper Belt and a diffuser model of the EDC with diffuser tape maybe...I have degenerative eye disease...my macula is slowly deteriorating and I find I need a light to do everyday chores that previously I did not need one for...looking into the hold of a boat, even in daylight...finding stuff in the back of the closet...I am finding my EDC light as valuable as my EDC knife...I don't go anywhere now without them...I am also finishing my EMT-B at this time and know I'm going to need a light or two for that...I think the diffuser would work well for me...
Next I want to build a small thrower that will blow my socks off, I want to be able to make shadow puppets for my grandsons on the cumulus clouds floating above us...that kind of light...LOl..I know thats not possible...but you get the gist...
So, for the thrower...What head and LED would you start with" I want to stay with the VG FB3 body when he gets more in. Size wise, its like the 9P I carried for years...lost that one and they are hard to find...besides I like the newer styles...
